Escalating regional conflicts to a dangerous new high, US forces launched a targeted military strike on Iran’s Larak Island, marking the first confirmed American attack on Iranian soil since late July.According to US Central Command (CENTCOM) spokesman Cdr. Tim Hawkins, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) personnel were detected preparing to launch rockets carrying naval mines into the Strait of Hormuz—a vital maritime corridor for global oil shipments. However, Jordan’s armed forces confirmed that their air defense systems intercepted eight incoming missiles within their airspace at dawn.This military clash follows Washington’s recent rollout of intensified economic sanctions against Tehran.
